What should I do if I can't transact in a POS (Point-of-Sale) Terminal using my CIMB debit card?

Step 1: Double-check if your CIMB debit card has enabled contactless payment transactions by opening the CIMB Bank PH app

Step 2: Tap on CARDS then SETTINGS

Step 3: Check if the toggle for “Contactless Payment” is ON

Step 4: Once "Contactless Payment" is ON, your card should now work on any VISA enabled POS terminal.

 

If the POS machine rejects your card again, this means the merchant does not support the card for payment transactions.
