What happens if I pay above the minimum amount due but less than the statement balance due?

Your payment amount will be offset against the outstanding fees, interest, and principal in that respective order. Any outstanding principal due that is left unpaid (in this case, the amount of your statement balance due minus (-) the payment) will be subject to interest accrual for the next billing cycle.
