Job Description

Perform oversight functions relative to PHMC meetings such as review of minutes, matters arising, and record keeping, among others.
Provide legal support and advice to management on relevant legal issues
Ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations, and other formalities
Review and revise internal policies and procedures
Calculate and mitigate legal and data privacy risks in business process and decision making
Draft and review legal documents such as vendor agreements, B2B contracts, outsourcing agreements, employment contracts, etc.
Handle cases before regular courts and relevant regulatory agencies
Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function
Assist the Chief Legal Counsel and DPO in conducting periodic data privacy impact assessments, data privacy awareness seminars and data privacy breach notification
Such other duties and responsibilities as may be delegated by the Chief Legal Counsel and DPO from time to time.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Law
Licensed to practice law in the Philippines Minimum of 5 years' experience as a lawyer, preferably in a BSP-supervised financial institution or information technology company
